“The teenager who feels deeply accepted begins to discover who they are.”
COUNSELING FOR ADOLESCENTS & TEENS
Even the strongest, smartest adolescents and teens can feel overwhelmed by big emotions, pressure from school, friendship stress, or the constant feeling of trying to be “enough.” They can find themselves overthinking everything, bottling up emotions, or feeling alone even when they’re surrounded by people. I help adolescents who struggle with perfectionism, emotional intensity, people-pleasing, or feeling misunderstood begin to make sense of their inner world and feel more grounded in who they are.
In our work with adolescents and teens, I slow things down so you they can understand what they’re feeling, learn how to handle stress without shutting down or blowing up, and build more flexible, authentic ways of coping. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in research-backed DBT skills that will help them manage emotions, communicate clearly, and navigate relationships with more confidence. If you see your adolescent or teen trying to figure out who they are and learn how to feel more at ease in their own skin, therapy is a place where they can find support!
When working with adolescents and teens, I primarily utilize Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy(RO- DBT)
