The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

COUNSELING FOR ADULTS

Even the most capable adults can feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. You may find yourself overthinking, striving to “hold it all together,” or feeling disconnected from others despite doing everything “right.” I help adults who tend toward perfectionism, high self-control, emotional loneliness, or chronic stress begin to reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels more open, flexible, and fulfilling.

Together, we slow things down so you can understand your emotional experiences, soften rigid patterns, and create more space for authentic connection and ease. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in research-based practices for people who are used to being the strong, steady ones for everyone else. If you’re an adult who also happens to be a parent, we can work on parenting strategies too!

When working with adults, I primarily utilize Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT).

PARENT/CAREGIVER SUPPORT

Parenting a child who is struggling can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating — and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I partner closely with parents and caregivers to help you understand your child’s needs, strengthen connection at home, and develop practical strategies that actually work for your family’s daily life.

I use research-based, developmentally informed approaches to support parents/caregivers, offering guidance that is compassionate, grounded, and tailored to your unique situation. As part of a cohesive treatment plan, I typically meet with parents every 3–4 sessions when working with a child, and more often whenever you request additional support or collaboration. As a former teacher and school counselor, I have also have experience building and working with 504 and IEP plans.

Over the years, I’ve worked with all kinds of families — including those navigating divorce, blended family dynamics, co-parenting challenges, and differing parenting styles. My goal is to empower you with clarity, confidence, and tools that reduce stress and strengthen your relationship with your child.
